Mr. Moore
Graveside services are Aug. 31 at 10:40 a.m. at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nev. Mr. Moore was born May 5, 1933, in Killeen, to Jimmie and Myrtle Ray Moore. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and had lived in the Las Vegas area for 29 years. Mr. Moore was a 49-year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, local 471 and local 12. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the Korean War on the USS Greenfish. Mr. Moore was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church in Las Vegas. Survivors include daughters, Sue Hawkins, Christine Moore and Claudia Gozberk, all of Texas, Michelle Vance, of South Carolina, and Terese Payton, of Indiana; sons, Steven Moore, of California, and Gordon Moore and Greg Moore, both of Nevada; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Ellen J. Moore. The family requested memorials be made to Infinity Hospice Care, 6759 W. Charleston Blvd., Suite 150, Las Vegas, NV 89146.
