Donations sought for clothing drive

Saratoga Masonic Lodge #546 is holding a clothing drive to collect new or gently used clothing. Donations will be given to New Beginning of Restoration and Hope, a Lampasas-based non-profit community outreach organization.Donations will be accepted through Sept. 16.

Daughters of Republic of Texas host district meeting here

The Oran Milo Roberts Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas hosted a District V meeting on Aug. 24 at Lampasas Methodist Church.DRT consists of 94 chapters in 10 districts, with multiple towns in each district.

The Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce has introduced a new member to its team. Project Manager Tasha Bates has served the chamber in various capacities in the past and is a business owner in Lampasas.

LHS graduates set to become EMTs

Bryce Neeley and Hailey Hays's career paths were transformed by the Lampasas High School’s Career and Technical Education Emergency Medical Technician course.Last Thursday, the pair successfully acquired their EMT test to make themselves eligible to serve in the field.

Badger Band ready to showcase ‘Fallout’ performance

The Lampasas High School Badger Band is taking inspiration from the popular video game and TV series “Fallout” for this year’s marching performance.Last year, the Badger Band’s marching show “Dia De Los Muertos” featured songs from the popular Disney movie “Coco.”
