Nomination petitions are open for PEC members seeking to serve on the Pedernales Electric Cooperative Board of Directors in districts 4 and 5. Directors serve three-year terms. Petition forms and additional information are available on PEC’s Nomination by Petition webpage.

The Lometa L-M Garden and Civic Club held its first meeting of the new year Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. at the club building in Lometa. Hostess were Barbara Bell and Val Cash. Light refreshments provided for the meeting included strawberries and cherries, salad items and a variety of cookies.

CattleWomen honor the future of agriculture

The Colorado River CattleWomen were among the attendees at the 85 th annual Lampasas County Youth Livestock Show, held Jan. 6-8. The group awarded firsttime beef exhibitors to show their appreciation for promoting the beef industry not only in Lampasas County but also in Burnet and Mills counties.
