Next blood drive planned for Nov. 8

The next American Red Cross Community Blood Drive will be held Nov. 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at First Street Church of Christ in Lampasas, 201 W. First St. Since Hurricane Ian caused devastation in Florida, there is a great need for more blood, drive coordinator Wanda Lang said.

LCLA Reverse Raffle set for Oct. 22

The Lampasas County Livestock Association will host its annual Reverse Raffle fundraiser on Oct. 22 from 5-9 p.m. The event will be held at the Lampasas County Show Barn, 283 U.S. Highway 190.

AgScience council holds annual meeting

The Lampasas ISD AgScience Advisory Council gathered last week for its annual meeting. Local AgScience councils consist of community members, agriscience faculty and school administrators who provide input and support to the ag programs in their communities.

Library STEAM program offers curriculum for homeschoolers

The Foundation Room at the Lampasas Public Library mirrored the NASA science lab Tuesday morning, as close to a dozen homeschool students – all girls – built mini robots using LEGO Education BricQ Motion Prime sets.

Donations sought to help local family dealing with hefty medical expenses

Fundraisers have been held recently for 36-yearold Dale Hull and his family. Hull, a lifelong resident of the Kempner/Copperas Cove area, is a Lampasas High School graduate who has been battling stage 4 colon cancer. He is a project manager for RNC Construction in Copperas Cove.
