Museum to display artifacts from era of 1397 eclipse

As the time draws near for the April 8, 2024, total solar eclipse, the Lampasas County Museum has a new exhibit to mark the event. The exhibit is set to open today. Museum board member Dorinda Barrett said the last total solar eclipse to be visible in what is now Lampasas County happened on May 26, 1397. The museum will focus on the historic eclipse in its “Legends of the Eclipse” display. …
