The Oran Milo Roberts Chapter of Daughters of the Republic of Texas will offer a special program March 7 at 5:30 p.m. upstairs at the Hostess House in recognition of Texas Independence Day.
Former state historian Bill O’Neal will speak on Texan and World War II hero Audie Murphy. Murphy grew up on a farm in Hunt County and went on to become the most decorated veteran of WWII.
