The report from the Aug. 31 Lampasas Cattle Auction follows.
Cattle and calves:
Total cattle 308, compared to 312 last sale and 499 at this time last year.
Compared to last sale, feeder steers were
$1-$3 higher; heifers were steady to $3 lower. Slaughter cows $1-$3 lower, and slaughter bulls were steady.
Feeder cattle accounted for 57 percent. Slaughter cows and bulls accounted for 43 percent.
