LHS student arrested for alleged firearm threats

A Lampasas High School student was arrested Tuesday morning after police said he made a firearm-related threat.  After a Lampasas Police Department investigation, Noah William Randall, 17, was arrested at LHS on a charge of threat/exhibiting/use of a firearm at a school – a Class A misdemeanor.

Myers arrested following LPD investigation

Former Lampasas High School basketball coach Mark Allen Myers has been arrested on misdemeanor charges in connection with reports made in early January of “concerning communications” between himself and students.

Lampasas ISD announce winter weather closures

Lampasas Independent School District will be closed Thursday, officials confirmed Wednesday. Whether the LISD schools will reopen Friday is still in question, according to Superintendent Dr. Chance Rascoe. "We will decide after lunch Thursday," Rascoe told the Dispatch Record.
