Badgers finish second at Academy tournament with 3-1 record

The Badger basketball team went 3-1 over last weekend at the Little River-Academy tournament. Lampasas had wins over Troy, Hyde Park and Academy, with a loss to El Paso Burges.Beau Patterson, Peyton Sisson and Aidan Nuckles were named to the All-Tournament team after the weekend.

Lampasas wrestling teams off to a good start

The Badger wrestling teams have kicked off their seasons, and they already have brought home quite a bit of hardware.At the Capital Classic, Lampasas had four different podium finishers at the 46team tournament.Taylor Martell finished in first in her division.

Badger basketball gets back to its winning ways

The Badger basketball team returned from the Thanksgiving break with a win over Goldthwaite at home.The Badgers won 76-62 after what was their best offensive performance so far this season. They had three scorers well into double digits, as Peyton Sisson led the way with 24 points.

Girls’ basketball loses to Goldthwaite in home matchup

The Lady Badgers lost 48-26 to the Goldthwaite Lady Eagles on Tuesday evening.Lampasas struggled with shooting and couldn’t keep up on offense.“Our team's goal was to improve our effectiveness on the court by getting to the rim or free-throw line more consistently,” head coach Marcus Chapa said.

Badgers’ season comes to end with loss to West Plains

A high-scoring, backand- forth contest got away from the Badgers late, as they fell 63-35 to Canyon West Plains in the third round of the football playoffs.This game quickly turned into an offensive shootout, and any possession where an offense didn’t score felt like a game changer.

The football playoff train rolls on tonight, as the Badgers are set to take on Canyon West Plains in the third round. The teams will meet at 7 p.m. in Sweetwater.Competing in the third round of the postseason typically means teams are playing the week of Thanksgiving.
