Badger basketball continued to build momentum in the district schedule as the team picked up its second consecutive dominant win, beating Taylor 73-52.Early in the game, the two teams traded blows that resulted in a 17-15 first-quarter lead for the Badgers.

On New Year’s Eve, the Badger basketball team opened the district schedule with the Gateway Gators of Georgetown, and the Badgers came out swinging.Lampasas won the game 68-45 on the back of a dominant first quarter, where they led 26-8 after the first eight minutes.

The Badger basketball team traveled to Brownwood at the end of last week to play in its last tournament and opportunity to make final tune-ups before the district schedule begins.Lampasas went 3-1 over the four-game stretch, not losing until the championship game on Saturday.
