Baseball loses first district game on the road at Burnet

Badger baseball took its first district loss of the season last Friday night when the team traveled to Burnet.Lampasas lost 8-3. The Badgers didn’t find the big hit at the right time while the Bulldogs hit the ball well, scoring their runs in the middle innings to separate from the Badgers.

Softball team loses tough game to Salado

The softball team went down 16-5 to the Salado Lady Eagles at home last Friday night to start the second half of district play.The Lady Badgers fell behind early, as Salado plated three runs in the top of the second inning.

Boys’ relay team sets school record at Johnny Jones relays

The Lampasas boys’4x200-meter relay team set a school record in a misty rain last Thursday, as they finished first at their home meet in a time of 1:28.37.The team of Dacoda Fry, Aaron Everts, Sean Smith and Ty Johnson beat the previous record of 1:28.76 that was set in 2019.

Boys’ and girls’ golf teams win district titles

The Badger and Lady Badger golf teams traveled to Kingsland and Legends Golf Course for the district tournament Monday and Tuesday. Both emerged as district champions.The girls’ team shot 337-339-676 over the two-day event to win the tournament.

Softball team loses close battle to Burnet

The Lady Badger softball team gave up a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to lose 3-2 to the Burnet Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday night in Burnet.Madison Magilke doubled in the first inning, driving in a run, and Allie Fry went 2 for 4 at the plate to lead Lampasas in hits.
