The Lady Badger softball team came up just short last weekend in two games during the bi-district playoff round against China Spring.Lampasas lost 3-1 in game one at home Friday after giving up three runs in the top of the first inning.

The Badger baseball team is set to take on the Gatesville Hornets Thursday, Friday and possibly Saturday in the first round of the playoffs.Lampasas is coming off one of its best regular seasons in several years.

At the district tennis tournament last week, the Badgers competed for a shot to qualify for the regional tournament. Two different doubles teams won district titles and will get another shot at the regional tournament.

The Badger baseball team got back on the diamond Tuesday night for a playoff warmup game against McGregor.Lampasas picked up a 7-3 win. Five different pitchers got action on the mound, so they are all ready to go when the playoff series against Gatesville begins next week.Calvin Phelps, J.T.

On Monday night, both the basketball and soccer programs held their annual awards ceremonies to honor athletes for their performance this season.In basketball, the boys’ coaches handed out awards for Most Improved, Offensive MVP, Defense MVP and Battlin’ Badger.
