Lometa fell to 3-2 on Friday night with a loss against the Saint Jo Panthers by a score of 68-55.Lometa’s offense had an excellent showing in the contest, but the Hornets were unable to get off the field on the defensive side of the ball.

The 4-0 Lampasas Badgers are set to play host to the 2-2 Waco University Trojans tonight for the Homecoming game at Badger Field.Lampasas is coming off a 31-24 win over Wimberley last Friday, while University suffered a 47-28 loss to 6A Shoemaker last week.

Excitement builds for big game Friday night

Lampasas Badgers varsity football players were among the many participants in Wednesday’s Homecoming parade through the downtown area. The Badger Band, Flames drill team, cheerleaders, various other school and community groups also joined the procession.

Volleyball loses last two matches, looking to bounce back

In their last two matches – which came against Gateway last Friday at home and then against Marble Falls on the road on Tuesday -- the Lady Badger volleyball team suffered 3-0 losses. They are one match away from finishing the first half of district play and flipping the schedule over.

Tennis team moves to 2-0 in district with win over Brownwood

The Lampasas tennis team picked up a big win over Brownwood last Thursday to move to 2-0 so far in district play.The final score of the match ended up at 16-3.The Badgers jumped out to a 6-1 lead after doubles competition. Elijah Copeland/Jack Allison won in three sets.

Cross country runners bring home numerous medals

Last week, the Lampasas cross country teams traveled to Temple to run in the Lake Belton Bronco Invitational. They left that meet with all the varsity boys and girls earning a medal.“These kids showed up and worked hard at the beautiful course they had,” head coach Kim Burnside said.
