Nine different Lometa cross country runners will head to Corpus Christi later this month for the regional meet after qualifying during the district contest.The Hornet boys qualified as a group after finishing in the top three during the district race.

Over the past week, the Lady Badger volleyball team played matches against Taylor and Jarrell, and they came up short in both, losing 3-1.In the most recent match against Jarrell on the road, Lampasas lost by scores of 25-21, 14-25, 14-25, 11-25.

Boys’ cross country qualifies for regionals; one Lady Badger also advances

The Badger cross country teams competed at the district meet held Tuesday morning at the 580 Sports Park in Lampasas.The boys’ team finished third to qualify for regionals as a group, and Leah Phillips placed sixth in the varsity girls’ race which qualified her for the regional meet.
