Lady Badgers have nice showing at Childress tournament

A fourth-place finish out of 12 varsity teams in the Gold Bracket of the Childress tournament was a good showing for the Lady Badger basketball team, as they were tested by some very good opponents last weekend.

Hornets and Lady Hornets play in home tournament

Both Lometa basketball teams participated in their home tournament over the weekend, and both finished fourth overall.The Hornets and Lady Hornets each had one player represented in the All-Tournament team, as Phoenix Jones and Pablo Carbajal received the honor.

Wrestling team competes at first tournament of season

Last weekend, the Lampasas wrestling team competed in its first tournament of the season.In the varsity division, the Badgers had a firstplace finisher in Jordan Winfree for the girls, and Kaiden Fernandez finished second.

Badgers go 4-2 at tournament over the weekend

The Badger basketball team took a long road trip last weekend to play at a tournament in Van Vleck, down around the Gulf Coast. They finished the trip with a 4-2 record over six games, with both losses coming against Brazosport.

Badgers nearly score 100 points in win over Goldthwaite

As the Lampasas basketball teams returned from the Thanksgiving break, both the boys’ and girls’ squads got back into action on the road against Goldthwaite. The boys’ team came out firing with a 97-58 win over the Eagles.

Girls’ basketball loses tough game to Goldthwaite

Transition defense really ended up being the difference in a 65-53 loss Lampasas suffered to the Goldthwaite Lady Eagles.The Lady Badgers played a competitive full game but gave up 20plus points in transition, according to head coach Marcus Chapa.
