Badgers come up short in first district game

On Friday night, the Badgers opened their district schedule with a road game against the Marble Falls Mustangs. Things did not get off to the start they wanted. The Badgers struggled with turnovers and gave up offensive rebounds that led to easy buckets for the Mustangs.

Boys’ powerlifting competes in first meet of the season

The Badger boys’ powerlifting team competed in Burnet last Thursday in the first lifting competition of the season. “We finished in sixth place as a team,” head coach David Brister said. “I look for us to improve totals every week. We host our meet on Thursday.

Girls’ basketball suffers loss to Marble Falls

The Lady Badger basketball team traveled to Marble Falls for a Saturday road game against the Lady Mustangs, and they were not able to keep their win streak alive. Lampasas posted a 62-48 loss. The girls are now 2-1 in district play.

Lady Badgers dominate talented Burnet team

The Lady Badgers came out hot against Burnet on Tuesday at home, and they jumped out to a 12-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. The girls were able to build on that lead throughout a game they thoroughly dominated. Lampasas ended up winning 42-22 to move to 2-0 in district play.

Badgers put four goals past Burnet in win

The Badgers were rather dominant in their win over Burnet on Tuesday. They responded after not getting the results they wanted in the Gatesville tournament last week, and Lampasas beat the Bulldogs 4-0. “We wanted to focus a lot more on not just sending a long ball.

Lampasas wrestlers compete at meets over Christmas break

The Lampasas boys’ and girls’ wrestling teams traveled to three different wrestling meets while school was out for Christmas vacation. First was the 26th annual Doc Hess Invitational, which was the biggest tournament of the year at that time.
