Lampasas girls compete in state powerlifting meet

Last Friday, the Lady Badgers lifted in the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association state competition at the Comerica Center in Frisco. “The girls competed well. Our plan was to increase our totals for the year and try to continue breaking some school records,” coach TJ Cleavinger said.

Badger errors lead to loss against Lago Vista

The 9-2 scoreline in the Badgers’ loss to the Lago Vista Vikings does not justify how the baseball game went early on. The score was tied in the fifth inning at 0-0. A single, followed by an error by Lampasas and then four additional miscues, led to six runs in the fifth inning.

Hornets continue success in tennis season

Lometa’s tennis season rolled on last Wednesday, with every Hornet recording a match victory at the Waco Regional Tennis Center tournament. Lometa competed against schools in much larger classifications, including Bosqueville, Moody and Lorena.

Lady Badgers dominate in district opener

The Lady Badger softball team hosted Lago Vista in their first district game of the season, and Lampasas came out swinging. Winning 15-0 in four innings after an 11 a.m. first pitch during spring break feels like the perfect start to district competition for the Lady Badgers.
