The Lampasas tennis team took a break from tournaments as they played a match against Marble Falls Faith Academy on Friday.The Badgers won 17-2 on the night, but head coach Kenneth Peiser said the matches were close, and he saw a lot of good play.

Ultimately, one Badger did just enough to qualify for the state competition taking place today in Houston.Kaiden Fernandez fought his way to a fourth-place finish after battling back in the consolation rounds.

Girls’ basketball falls to Salado in another close game

Once again, the Lady Badger basketball team played the district-leading Salado Lady Eagles in a competitive game, but they couldn’t do enough to completely close the gap and lost 58-51.The Lady Badgers lost the first quarter 15-10, then lost the second 1410 to head into halftime down nine points.
