A Thursday game on the road, starting at 7 p.m., and played on a turf field are all new challenges the 2023 Lampasas Badger football team has not faced – until this week.
At 3-0, the Badgers have had their best start to a season since 2020.

The Lady Badger volleyball team finally returned home to play in the Badger Den for the first time in over a month. The girls played host to Waco Connally Friday afternoon.

Hornets lose first game of the season at Richland Springs

Lometa’s football team suffered its first loss on Thursday, falling to the Richland Springs Coyotes 73-26. Although the Hornets were favored in the contest, mistakes cost them. Lometa turned the ball over four separate times.

Scoring outburst leads to dominant win for Badgers

Scoring 72 points in a football game doesn’t happen very often, but this time it came on the natural grass under the lights of Badger Field.
The Lampasas Badgers were nearly impossible to stop on their way to a 72-37 win over Georgetown East View last Friday.

The freshman Badgers came away with a shutout win over the Northeast Early College Raiders, 27-0, last Thursday.
Defensively for the Badgers, Brandin Cooper and Austin Andrews both had interceptions in the game.

Lady Badgers come up short in tough volleyball games

The Lady Badgers played three games last Friday and this Tuesday, against Little River-Academy and then Llano and St. Michael’s.
The match against Academy last Friday was on the road, and Lampasas lost in three sets. The final score was 9-25, 17-25, 9-25.

Cross country teams run in Temple meet

The Lampasas cross country teams competed in Temple last week and placed well in the field of 20-plus teams.
The varsity boys placed fifth out of 21 teams that ranged from Conference 1A to 4A.
