Boys’ soccer wins Canyon Lake tournament after 3-0 weekend

The Badger soccer team had a great weekend, as they traveled to Canyon Lake for a three-day tournament and emerged as champions after winning all three of their matches. Lampasas started with a tough match against San Antonio Cole and fought back from an early 1-0 deficit to win 2-1.

Lampasas powerlifting teams take first place at home meet

The Badger and Lady Badger powerlifting teams competed at their home meet on Thursday, and they both finished as winners. The boys’ team fielded 23 different competitors and finished with a total of 52 points -- 12 more than second-place Marble Falls.

Gateway hands Badger basketball first district loss of season

The Badger basketball team had been on a roll through most of the 20232024 season, but Tuesday night the boys ran into a brick wall against the Gateway Gators. Lampasas was outscored 15-4 in the third quarter after taking a 31-28 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Lampasas wrestling takes down Killeen Chaparral at home meet

The Lampasas Badger wrestling team played host to Killeen Chaparral on Wednesday in the only home wrestling meet of the season, and they emerged victorious. The boys won the majority of their matches.

Lady Hornets beat Rochelle for second district win

The Lometa Lady Hornets took on Rochelle last Friday in their third district game of the season, and they emerged victorious in dominant fashion, 36-18. The girls jumped out to a 10-2 lead after an aggressive first quarter, and they were up seven at halftime.

Powerlifting teams compete at first meet of season

The Lampasas boys’ and girls’ powerlifting teams started their seasons last week when they traveled to Burnet for their first meet. The Badger powerlifting team scored 22 points to finish fourth overall. Charles Mack finished in first in the 114-pound class.
