Powerlifting teams compete at San Saba

Both the Lampasas boys’ and girls’ powerlifting teams traveled to San Saba last week for their final meet before the regional competition in March. The boys once again were winners, as they collected 43 points.

Tennis team earns wins at Copperas Cove

The Badger tennis team competed with several other schools in Copperas Cove last week. Over the course of 15 hours during the day, each player for Lampasas had about three matches, and several ended the day as winners.

Softball team dominates home-opener over Ellison

The Lady Badger softball team hosted Ellison on Tuesday evening, and to say Lampasas was dominant would be an understatement. The Lady Badgers won 22-0 over the Lady Eagles behind a shutout performance from Allison Fry, who struck out six batters.

Every summer, there is a collection of all-star-style games for high school athletes hosted by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. This year, two Lady Badgers will be participating in softball and in cheer.

Boys’ soccer dominates Academy on Senior Night

Tuesday was Senior Night for both the Lampasas boys’ and girls’ soccer teams. The Badgers made the most of it when they dominated the Academy Bees 9-0 to pick up a third district win in the first half of the schedule. Edwin Gomez was the leading goal scorer in this game.

Five-team district with two new opponents on horizon for Lampasas

District competition for Lampasas High School will look a little different over the next couple of years after the most recent realignment was announced by the University Interscholastic League. The biggest difference for Lampasas was the move from Region IV to Region I.
