Four Lady Badgers advance to state powerlifting meet

The girls’ regional powerlifting meet took place last weekend, with Lampasas sending 18 lifters to participate. Ten earned medals, and the Lady Badgers finished fourth among the 11 teams. Only a three-point difference separated Lampasas from the regional winners, which was Taylor.

Badger baseball splits games at tournament in Llano

The baseball team traveled to Llano last weekend for a tournament, and the Badgers split the four games they played.Lampasas picked up a 14-7 win over the Copperas Cove junior varsity team and a 4-3 win over Elgin.The two losses came to Fredericksburg, which won 6-4, and Llano by a score of 8-3.

Badger soccer falls to Gatesville

The Lampasas soccer team had a big match against Gatesville at home last Friday, and came up short in the 3-0 score.The Badgers started slowly in the first half. They conceded the first goal of the game with less than 30 seconds remaining in the first half.

Lampasas tennis competes against nine other teams in Burnet

Ten teams participated at a tennis competition last week in Burnet, and the Badgers had some success.Sydney Unger/Charlotte Carmack finished first in doubles action, and Allison Valdez was first in singles.

Boys’ soccer team picks up big win over China Spring

The Badger soccer team took care of business Tuesday night by beating China Spring 5-1. The win all but guarantees Lampasas a spot in the playoffs, as the team is 5-4 in district play with three games to go.
