Lady Badgers win consolation bracket at tournament

Last week, the Lady Badger volleyball team played in a tournament in Rockdale on Thursday and Saturday. After a successful showing on the final day, they were named champions of the consolation bracket.

Scrimmages all wrapped up; next comes Game Day

The next time the Badgers take the field it will be the real deal, as they host Fredericksburg Friday night.They finished their final tune-up last Thursday when they scrimmaged against China Spring to get those final few practice reps in before the beginning of the 2024 season.

Lampasas tennis team wins in dominant fashion once again

Last Friday, the tennis team hit the road to Ellison, but the match was cut short by some unexpected lightning. “The kids had been playing for about two hours, and we got a warning of lightning within 10 miles of us,” head coach Kenneth Peiser said.

Lady Badgers struggle against Brownwood

The Lady Badger volleyball team didn’t have its best night in Tuesday’s loss to the Brownwood Lady Lions. The final score was 25-10, 25-18, 25-9 over the three sets.Lampasas made too many mistakes against a good Brownwood team.

Game warden says area could be in for good dove season

Dove season officially opens Sept. 1, and Lampasas County could see a better year for birds than in the recent past.Lampasas County Game Warden Brett Hernandez is stationed here for his first dove season after moving to Lampasas from McMullen County in South Texas last fall.
