District play saw a tough start for the Lometa Hornets on Friday, as the team lost 74-28 at the hands of the Jonesboro Eagles. Despite an even turnover battle, Lometa was unable to maintain offensive consistency, resulting in the lopsided final score.
Jonesboro’s defense stopped Lometa’s opening drive, and the Eagles scored two plays later to open the scoring in the contest.
