Lampasas traveled to Brownwood on Friday for a battle of teams undefeated in district play.
The 3-0 Badgers took on the 3-0 Lions for a chance to get sole possession of first place in the district.
The Badgers were fighting from behind all night and were not able to make up enough ground on the Lions before the final buzzer.
