The Senate Armed Services Committee has included in its annual defense bill a provision that would require women to register with the Selective Service System. This is a battle Congress has fought before, particularly since the Obama administration opened all combat jobs to women in 2015. It’s time to defeat the proposal decisively. The United States should not draft our daughters.
