Michael Wayne Henderson, 65, died on April 10, 2026, at Texas Trauma Institute in Houston.
Memorial services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on May 26 at 11 a.m., with burial of ashes to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Michael was born on Sept. 14, 1960, at Rollins Brook Hospital in Lampasas to Vernon Wayne and Imogene Henderson.
He grew up in Lampasas and attended Lampasas High School, where he graduated in 1979.
He then attended college in San Marcos, at what is now Texas State University. He graduated with a business degree in 1984.
Michael was recruited out of college by Ford Motor Credit Company and was employed with the company for 25 years.
Michael met Patricia, the love of his life, in Houston, and they were married for 35 years. He was currently employed by Cosco and loved his job and the people he worked with.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents, two uncles, an aunt and a niece.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; his son, Marshall; his daughter, Michele; his sister, Vivian (Karl) Dirksmeyer; his mother, Jean Henderson; his aunt, Verde Ola Henderson; cousins and two nephews; and Brad Reuther, Melinda Wheeler, and the Cady and Shimko families.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
