DEATHS
Joe Edward “Eddie” Delgado died Sept. 6, 2022.
He was born on July 22, 1953, to John and Janie (Gill) Delgado in Burnet.
He grew up in Lampasas and eventually moved to Cleburne to be closer to his kids and grandkids, and eventually his greatgrandkids.
Joe enjoyed sports, including baseball (Astros and Rangers), football (Badgers, Longhorns and Cowboys), golf and fishing.
He was an active church member, retired, and enjoyed being at home and around his family. He loved his three children, but his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren were his greatest joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Becky Jane.
Survivors include his children Adelina and Carlos of Cleburne and Jennifer (Eric Cooper) of Keller; grandchildren Ashlee Delgado (Edgar Guerrero) of Burleson, Ricky Gonzales (Madison Craig) of Godley and MaKenna Cooper of Keller; great-grandchildren Fabian, Ariella and Lorenzo Guerrero of Burleson; brothers Richard (Viola) of Cypress and Jimmy (Kim) of Hanford, California; maternal aunt and uncle, Rebecca Felan of Cypress and Justo “Tito” Gill of Lampasas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Sept. 12 at Heritage Funeral Home in Lampasas, with recitation of the Rosary afterward.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Sept. 13 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
