Lampasas came up short in a tough loss Friday night to the Canyon Lake Hawks in the second-to-last district football game of the season.
The Badgers took their final lead in the game with 10:02 left in the fourth quarter, when Dylan Sanchez slammed through a Canyon Lake defender from one yard out. That made the score 17-14 for the Badgers.
