BURN BAN IN EFFECT
A countywide burn ban is in effect through Sept. 28 at 5 p.m. County residents are not allowed to conduct outdoor burns at this time. Violations are punishable with a fine of up to $500.
If conditions allow for safe burning, County Judge Randy Hoyer is authorized to lift the prohibition temporarily.
