Lometa police chief announces decision to retire in August

    Though the Lometa City Council handled a full agenda during its regular meeting June 4, it was the department head reports that surprised council members.

    After its business items, the council adjourned into executive session. Upon returning to open session, Police Chief Ronnie Strain announced his retirement effective Aug. 5.
