Kempner to maintain current tax rate under new budget

    Despite a 39% increase in proposed expenses for the 2025-2026 fiscal year, the Kempner City Council is not seeking a tax rate hike.

    Council members discussed the upcoming FY budget in a workshop during their July 8 meeting. Other than dealing with the items on the consent agenda, no action was taken.
