District 68 State Rep. David Spiller (R-Jacksboro) is optimistic legislators can accomplish much good for the state when the 89th Texas Legislature begins its session on Jan. 14.
Spiller listed border security, support for rural public schools plus water quality and quantity as important items lawmakers will address this spring.
His House district includes Lampasas and 11 other counties.
