Kempner council agrees to add police officer

    Kempner City Council members held a budget workshop during last week’s regular meeting and voiced their approval of the city adding another police officer.

    Boosting the Kempner Police Department would result in a 52% increase to the city’s tax rate – which currently is $0.28 per $100 in property value.
