    With a roster smaller than it has seen in years, the Lampasas Volunteer Fire Department is seeking volunteers, and officials are championing the value of serving the local community.

    While the department always accepts applications for new volunteers, LVFD Assistant Chief Tim Weinrick said now is an especially important time.
