The deadline to file for political office in either the Democratic or Republican primary elections is Dec. 11.
The primaries will be held March 5, 2024.
Local positions up for election in 2024 include county attorney, sheriff, tax assessor/collector, county commissioner Precincts 1 and 3, Precinct 1 constable, county chairman and precinct chairmen.
