DISPATCH RECORD GRAPHIC After posting a 1% decline in sales taxes in June, the city of Lampasas recorded another 1% dip for the month of July. All other neighboring entities saw sales tax receipts rise this period, compared to July 2022.
Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar’s office has mailed sales tax rebates for July to the cities, counties and special-purpose districts that levy a local tax. Those payments were approximately 7% more than entities across the state received in July 2022.
