Church prepares for Fall Fest

Holy Family Catholic Church will hold its annual Fall Festival Sept. 30 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The church is located at 1001 Georgetown Rd. in Copperas Cove. A kids’ train ride, games and prizes, vendors, bingo and “touch a fire truck” will be part of the family fun available.

Single-vehicle wreck injures motorcyclist

A Lampasas motorcyclist was injured in a singlevehicle wreck Sunday morning. Lampasas Police Department officials said the wreck was reported at 2:31 a.m. in the 300 block of Supple Drive, a residential area. LPD Patrol Lt.

County tax rate drops to lowest level since 2003

In a called meeting that followed two short public hearings, the Lampasas County Commissioners Court approved its 2023-2024 fiscal-year budget Wednesday evening. This year’s general fund expenditures total $11.1 million, an 8% increase from a year ago.
