Lampasas County 27th District Court convened last week with Judge John Gauntt presiding over the day’s hearings.Defendant Meghan Elise Bray of Copperas Cove was sentenced to 9 months in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after her open plea hearing.

Lometa ISD upgrades teacher pay scale

Lometa Independent School District Board of Trustees met last week for its regular monthly meeting, with the agenda covering several procedural items for the district. As the school year comes to an end, board members approved items that will go into effect for 2024-2025.

Girls State, Boys State students selected

American Legion Auxiliary Unit 277 has named the students to represent Lampasas at the American Legion Auxiliary Bluebonnet Girls State and American Legion Boys State sessions.
