Sheriff Parker working in cooperation with ICE

Just two months into 2026, the Lampasas County Sheriff’s office has booked 11 inmates who have been flagged by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The majority of the individuals have been turned over to the federal agency.

New artwork displayed on downtown building

Artist Bud Menchaca with Menchaca Art has painted these wildflowers on the Lampasas Lawyer PLLC building at East Third and Main Street. Jackie Baltrun said in a Facebook post the artwork was chosen to honor her grandmother who was a fan of native plants.

Public Works director addresses contract with KWSC

The Lampasas city staff and City Council members held a discussion during their workshop meeting Monday where they laid out their thoughts about the joint meeting with the Kempner Water Supply Corp. held a couple of weeks ago.

Feb. 27 is the final day to cast a ballot early in either the Republican Party Primary or Democratic Party Primary. Early voting hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Elections Office, 407 S. Pecan St. in Lampasas.As of Wednesday, 2,183 had voted early in the Republican Primary.

County eyes air ambulance coverage for employees
