Agriculture displays available

Lampasas County Museum is continuing its agricultural exhibit with special photos and artifacts on display. The museum is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 303 S. Western St. Admission is free, although donations are welcome.

Lometa ISD board prepares for school year

The Lometa ISD Board of Trustees met last week to consider several procedural items for the 2024-2025 school year. Agenda items ranged from updates to the district’s grant handbook to policy recommendations from the Texas Association of School Boards.

Lampasas County 27th District Court convened last week with Judge John Gauntt presiding.Defendant Mathew Leroy Phillips of Lampasas entered a guilty plea to a charge of driving while intoxicated-third or more.

KWSC battles water discoloration

Kempner Water Supply Corp. members are continuing to receive discolored water caused by debris in Stillhouse Hollow Lake, the water supplier’s production site.

New council member named to fill vacancy

The Lampasas City Council has filled the vacancy created by the recent death of Councilman Chuck Williamson. Former mayoral candidate Myles Haider was selected to assume the post.

Construction underway for HTeaO location

A retail construction project on North Key Avenue will house a new restaurant by 2025.General Contractors Silver Fox Construction are at work on the retail space at 310 N. Key Ave. that will house an HTeaO franchise.
