Band prepares for marching season

Lampasas City Council sets ceiling for proposed tax rate

With budget season comes consideration of the tax rate for the new fiscal year. The Lampasas City Council took a step toward adopting that new rate at its regular meeting on Monday.With a 4-2 vote, the council approved a proposed city tax rate of 37 cents per $100 property valuation.

City of Lampasas issues water notice

The City of Lampasas has issued a water notice to all customers. The announcement was made via the city's website earlier today. The notice was issued due to discoloration, poor taste, and odor the City of Lampasas Public Water System is experiencing.

KWSC issues system wide boil water notice

At 11:29 a.m. this morning, the Kempner Water Supply Corporation issued a boil water notice to all members. The move comes after a boil water notice was issued for some customers on Tuesday.

The Kempner Water Supply Corporation has issued a boil water notice for county residents west of Kempner. As of Tuesday at noon, residents north of the City of Kempner, northwest of the city, southwest of the city and west of the city are recommended to boil water prior to use.

Triple digit temperatures to continue this week

Meteorologists are predicting a streak of high temperature days this week, with triple-digit temperatures possible in Lampasas.The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook early Monday morning, citing high temperatures in Lampasas, Bell, Coryell, Hamilton and surrounding counties.
