Lampasas County 27th District Court convened last week with Judge Debbie Garrett presiding over the day’s hearings.Defendant Triston Martin Holloman of Lampasas was given 15 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice on a charge of sexual assault of a child.

Lampasas man receives 30 years for assault of child

Jarren Wade Morua pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child, a first-degree felony, during 27th District Court proceedings March 6.Morua, 29, of Lampasas, was sentenced to 30 years in a Texas Department of Criminal Justice facility.

Water alliance accepts Lampasas County, city as members

Lampasas County and the city of Lampasas are official members of the Central Texas Water Alliance.At the CTWA Board of Directors meeting March 5 in Waco, members accepted the two Lampasas governmental entities into the alliance along with four water purveyors.
