Lampasas real estate sees slowdown

Local real estate professionals have marked a distinct change in the market since the rush of 2020, but that doesn’t mean another craze isn’t ahead.The real estate industry accounted for $453.7 billion or 17.7% of the gross state product in 2023.

Kiwanis Club of Lampasas will sponsor the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus Oct. 7 to raise funds for scholarships for Lampasas and Lometa students.Set-up will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the corner of East North Avenue and South Western Street. Shows are slated at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Lampasas issues boil water notice along US 281

Just days after a previous boil water notice was rescinded, another boil water notice has been issued for Lampasas water users. In a new release posted Saturday morning, Lampasas City Officials issued a boil water notice for an affected area near south U.S. 281.

National Night Out in Lampasas scheduled for Oct. 1

The annual National Night Out event is set for Oct. 1 from 6-8 p.m.Members of the Lampasas Police Department and other local law enforcement agencies will be in the H-E-B store parking lot on Key Avenue to connect with community members.

Community Bridge offers slam prizes

Club members hear presentation on growing cactus plants

On Sept.16, the L-M Garden and Civic Club of Lometa held its first meeting for the 2024-2025 year. The meeting started with refreshments and fellowship, then moved into the regular business meeting.A drawing for the raffle of a Kindle and a pink cooler took place.

Recognizing Constitution Day

Pocket copies of the U.S. Constitution were donated by the Lampasas Republican Club to seniors and eighth-grade students in the Lampasas and Lometa school districts on Sept. 17 in honor of Constitution Day.
