Commmissioners choose local firm to lead courthouse renovations

The Lampasas County Commissioners Court on Monday selected locally based RKJ Construction for its Construction Manager as Constructor to complete renovations to the historic county courthouse.

LOMETA HOMETOWN CHRISTMAS The annual Lometa Hometown Christmas parade and holiday festivities will take place Saturday evening. The events are sponsored by SAS Towing and Sammy’s Rockin’ K Café.The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the other activities set for Lometa City Hall at 7 p.m.

Browning Club to meet Dec. 17

The Browning Community Garden Club will hold its annual Christmas potluck on Tuesday at the Kempner Volunteer Fire Department Training Building, located at 315 Pecan St. in Kempner. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m.Members are asked to bring a dish to share as well as the recipe.
