Killeen Mall suspect ID’d as Kempner man

Texas Department of Public Safety authorities have identified 53-year-old John Darrel Schultz of Kempner as the driver in a car chase that ended inside the Killeen Mall on Saturday. Schultz drove his vehicle “several hundred yards” into a JC Penney department store, injuring five people, DPS Sgt.

Large Lampasas delegation attends Texas Farm Bureau Conference

The Lampasas County Farm Bureau delegation returned from the annual state conference held Dec. 6-8 in Round Rock at the Kalahari Resort Complex. The local members were among the more than 1,100 registered Texas Farm Bureau delegates from 149 counties who participated in the three-day meeting.
