New conference room debuts in Lometa

Lometa ISD’s newest meeting room has been repurposed from the district’s former athletic weight room. It now will serve as a conference room near the administration building.

Final stages of paving work performed

Crews were at work Friday with paving equipment on East Second Street near the downtown area. The $831,709 street rehabilitation project kicked off in September 2024, and the roadway is expected to reopen this week.

Flu affects Lampasas ISD attendance

Lampasas Independent School District’s attendance has taken a dip this winter due to the flu, according to Superintendent Dr. Chane Rascoe.In the Lampasas ISD Board of Trustees meeting March 3, Rascoe provided board members with an update on enrollment and attendance.

Creating Badger Builders to host annual fundraiser

For the third consecutive year, Creating Badger Builders is set to hold its “Building Badgers Fundraiser” at the Lampasas County Youth Livestock Center. The event will take place March 22.

High winds, dust storm strike county this week

This large tree was a casualty of unusually high winds in the area on Tuesday. The tree fell across Saul Street in west Lampasas and blocked neighborhood traffic until city crews were able to safely move it back to curbside.
