An informational meeting was held Thursday at the old middle school cafeteria so interested residents could start planning for a 2024 solar eclipse that is expected to draw thousands to the area.
The eclipse will occur between 12:18 p.m. and 2:59 p.m. on April 8, 2024.
A solar eclipse is when the moon comes between the sun and the Earth and casts a shadow on the surface of the Earth.
