Kempner council sets rules for benches at municipal park

An ordinance to limit the number of benches at the Sylvia Tucker Memorial Park Veteran’s Memorial was approved by Kempner City Council members in Tuesday’s regular meeting.
The ordinance will remove a bench installed by former mayor Keith Harvey, who recently pleaded no contest to a charge of indecent assault.
