The annual Hayloft Party is set for Tuesday at 7 p.m. The live music event for decades was staged at the Ruth Eakin Outdoor Theater in W.M. Brook Park, but this year it will take place at the courthouse bandstand.
The Hayloft Party is free to attend. Lampasas Radio KACQ/KCYL produces the event to spotlight local musicians.
The Hayloft Party had its origins in the community of Briggs in the Great Depression, well before the open-air event moved to Lampasas in 1948 – and decades before Spring Ho Festival began. Since then it has been held annually in a variety of locations.
