Early voting for the Lampasas City Council and city of Lometa special election will begin Tuesday.
Contested seats in the Lampasas City Council election include Danielle Tucker Shepard and Dorothy Person both vying for Place 1. Challenger Edward Gold is seeking the Place 3 seat held by incumbent Myles Haider, who is serving an unexpired term. Place 6 council member Charlie Pratus will look to hold off his challenger Alexis Thompson.
Early voting hours for the Lampasas City Council election are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays April 22-28 and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 29, the final day of early voting.
The Lampasas County Elections Office at 407 S. Pecan St. will serve as the polling location for Lampasas city voters.
Election Day hours May 3 will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., also at the county elections office.
The city of Lometa will hold a special election to permit the legal sale of mixed beverages in restaurants by food and beverage certificate holders only.
Early voting hours for the Lometa special election are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 23, April 25 and April 28-29, and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 22 and April 24. Residents can cast ballots at Lometa City Hall, 100 E. San Saba St.
Election Day hours May 3 will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Lometa City Hall.
There are no contested elections this cycle for Lometa or Kempner council members.
