Chronic Wasting Disease detected in Kerr, and possibly now in nearby Coleman County

    Chronic Wasting Disease has been found as near as Coleman County, with positive tests suspected in a Kerr County research facility as of Dec. 1.

    As of Dec. 27, there have been no positive cases within Lampasas County, but one positive case was detected in a deer in a Hamilton County breeding facility in March 2023.
