The report from the Sept. 27 Lampasas Cattle Auction follows.
Cattle and calves: Total cattle 505, compared to 657 last sale and 587 at this time last year.
Compared to last sale, feeder steers were steady; heifers $3-$7 lower. Slaughter cows were $7--
$10 lower, while slaughter bulls were $5-$7 lower on a limited test.
Feeder cattle accounted for 58%. Slaughter cows and bulls accounted for 42%.
